Priority Seats

I'm going to start publishing my random rants so I've felt like I've complained in some sort of way.

Today an elderly man got on the bus, he sat past the 'priority' seats because they were taken. His carer (I guess) got on after him, and said pretty loudly "Nice to see the children taking up the seats at the front". Then someone argued back saying there were other seats available below the step. She argued back stating they're priority seats. Whilst she was arguing a girl towards the front went out of her way to state that she did move, the carer thanked her which is fair enough.

But from my judgement the man looked perfectly capable to walk an extra few steps. As they were getting off the carer was holding him like he was very fragile, as to make a statement that she is needed. However he didn't need help getting on the bus? As she left, everyone at the front shared a communal sigh and laughed about it. Obviously i'm not the only one who thought she almost pointlessly started an argument with a stranger much younger than her. I think she was just too outspoken.

I always sit just above the step to avoid these kind of awkward situations, I'd advise you to as well.
